Our CENTRAL COAST Story
Ron Ayton Curtains, Blinds & Shutters was founded on July 1, 1986. Since then Ron—and his two sons, Mat and Brendan—have earned a stellar reputation for excellent service in Newcastle and the Central Coast.
The team is highly respected and word-of-mouth has always drawn new customers.
Ron states, “After 10 years working for other companies in window furnishings, including the old Myer at Gosford, I decided it was time to start my own business.”
“In 1986, we opened the door to our first showroom in Long Jetty—Ron Ayton Curtains, Blinds & Shutters was born.
“Over the years, the business outgrew this space. We decided it was time to go mobile. We packed up the showroom. Moving the essentials to a van, we could now service customers in their own home or office—providing samples and advice to help them make the right decisions.”
Ron’s 40 years of experience in the industry taught him that quality and service are the key ingredients to customer satisfaction. “My goal”, he says, “has always been to provide superior products at affordable prices.”
“Ron Ayton Curtains, Blinds & Shutters is successful because we have always been honest, reliable, respectful and truthful,” says co-owner Mat Ayton. “We are very big on customer service—offering quality products with quality services.”
Fellow co-owner Brendan Ayton adds: “We don’t try to make sales. We simply advise our customers correctly on what we believe they need and which products will suit them best.”
Ron summarises his experiences with the business so far… “More than 40 years of happy customers is our legacy. And I’m proud to see how far we’ve come in that time.”
